Serving Everyone

Serving Everyone

A favorite request of our Club members is to get out of the urban landscape and experience something new in the outdoors. Our Club members like to go camping, hiking, fishing, and white-water rafting. Our club works with the California State Park system to provide outdoor recreation activities for our youth and their families. Our staff attends trainings put on by the State of California, including the Outdoor Recreation Leadership course, designed to provide high-quality outdoor programming.

Serving Everyone

With the opening of our new Youth Center in 2025, there was an intentional effort to ensure that when we did open, we would be a club that would welcome everyone in our community. Our Club trained staff on issues like inclusivity and physical disabilities. We also continue to train our staff on Trauma-informed Care and how to best serve our members. As a Boys & Girls Club, we have access to Spillett Leadership University, which offers free courses for professional growth to address these issues.

Organized Sports

Our Club competes in a number of sports, including Basketball, Flag Football, and Cheer. Our teams compete in the Inter Tribal Sports League where we compete with other tribal groups throughout Southern California. Additionally, we have participated in local sports leagues and competitions like the UCLA Youth Basketball Tournament. Our Club is also a certified USA Archery Junior Olympic Archery Development (JOAD) Program.
