Boys and Girls Club of UAII - Helping Youth Succeed

Community Connection

Through our Youth Council, our members are able to participate in community service projects throughout the year. Events will range from beach cleanups, to volunteering for community events like UAII's annual Halloween and Christmas Parties. Our members enjoy making a difference in their community and these opportunities show how we are all connected.

Building Agents for Change

A central goal that runs through our programming is to develop strong, educated young leaders for our community. We support our youth in learning about various health, public health, and prevention issues. Then we give them the opportunity to share their knowledge so they can be peer advisors on those topics in their schools, in their communities, and with their friends.

Working with Tribal Groups

Whenever possible, we try to travel to and work directly with tribal communities. For many of our youth, this may be their first time on their ancestral lands and connecting with tribal leaders. For many of our attendees, this can be the first step toward learning about their unique culture, language, and history.
